Nogales Psychological Counseling seeks a qualified Spanish-English Medical Interpreter to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients during psychiatric consultations and psychological evaluations. The interpreter will also manage appointment confirmations during non-clinical hours.
Provide accurate, confidential interpretation between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers during psychiatric sessions and psychological evaluations related to workers' compensation, personal injury, and private cases.
Translate complex medical and psychological terminology with precision.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and impartiality.
Confirm patient appointments via phone during administrative hours.
Fluency in Spanish and English, with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology.
Minimum of one year of experience interpreting in medical or mental health settings.
Completion of a minimum 40-hour medical interpreter training program; national certification (e.g., CMI, CHI) preferred .
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in language studies or healthcare is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health records.
